How To Make Cendol



Cendol is a type of Malaysian dessert containing thin, green stripe of rice flour, usually eaten with coconut milk and brown sugar syrup.


Ingredients


1 cup of rice flour

4 cups of plain water

A drop of food colouring

2 cups of coconut milk

1 can of leongfoon

1 can of sweet corn cream

1 can of evaporated milk

500 grams of ground brown sugar


Steps

1Mix rice flour with water into the cooking pot and stir well.

2Add the food colouring.

3Heat the cooking pot with slow fire. While on heating, keep on stirring until it becomes a sticky batter.

4Turn off the fire. While still hot, take one big spoon of the sticky batter and put in the slated ladled and press it with the big spoon in the bowl that contain half cold water. The green stripes will fall off and that is the "cendol".

5Let the cendol cool.

6Mix the coconut milk and ground brown sugar with two cups of water inside the blender and blend it until mix well.

7Cut the long foon into small pieces and put in the bowl.

8Put the sweet corn cream in the bowl.

9To make cendol dessert, put in the cup two spoons of cendol, two spoons of leongfoon, and two spoons of sweet corn.

10Add the evaporated milk and the mix of coconut powder and ground brown sugar.

11Serve cold.
